Anietie Ukpe-Wallace
CREATOR + PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Hi! My name is Anietie Ukpe-Wallace, but I also go by Tia. I am a pelvic health physical therapist based in the East Bay.
I have always had a deep love and interest in the education of and care for the human body and pelvic floor and this is one area that seems to get the least attention until we are either pregnant, after birth or when something is wrong down there. My hope at East Bay Birth Collective is to help fill the void in pelvic health awareness with education, understanding, and self-care for our body and our pelvis during all stages of one’s reproductive journey.
At East Bay Birth Collective….
I offer in-person and virtual physical therapy care addressing pelvic and orthopedic health needs to address the body holistically through my practice, Self-Care Physio
I offer Tending to Your Pelvic Floor In Pregnancy and Postpartum to teach birthing people ways to tend and care for their womb and pelvic floor during all stages of a pregnancy journey, from preconception through postpartum
Why physical therapy at EBBC?
Physical therapy and self-care for the pelvic floor at all stages of the reproductive journey can help instill a greater awareness of the resilience and strength that is present, and thus make the return to health and balance in your pelvis that much smoother after birth. My own experiences with conception, pregnancy loss and birthing my own have deeply informed how I view my pelvis and my womb, as more than just a vehicle for life but as a foundation for the entire body in how we move in this world.
